It never ceases to amuse me how much acclaim is given to the silent hill series, as some kind of benchmark for storytelling in survival horror games. What utter ballssssssssss, when has silent hill ever had the semblence of a plot, only pretentious tossers can seriously believe that a story with so many blatant plot-holes, loosely tied together by dull set pieces constitutes a great narrative. With lead character's that control like such spastics, its not fucking with your head, only with your wallet and your dignity. In what other, meant-to-be-scary, horror series do you have protagonists that look like human size fraggles, running aimlessly around a town thats often too dark to see a fucking thing in!!!!!! You can often tell a game by the quality of its bosses, giant moths, big worm/catepillar fuckers, wwwwwwwwooooooooowwwwww, really pushing the boundaries of imagination there!
